boat lift bunks for v hull

I have a shoremaster lift that i bought used a couple years ago. it didn't come with any documentation so i never thought much about it, but the bunks are arranged in a "v" formation, following the shape of the hull. it is chafing up near the front of the boat. i'll try and get some photos up tonight.. Correct on the flat part comment.. at the transom the bunks are hot where the hull flattens out on each side. i assume that is also what cyclops is referring too.. seems that is where a lot of weight is. now the boat that used to occupy my lift was 10’ bigger so i do have about 5” of exposed bunks off the rear..
